BRANDING PHOTOGRAPHY

A professional photographer since 2005, and university-level photography professor since 2017… photography has been an integral part of my journey to design. I created my first portfolio website in 2006 using HTML and haven’t looked back.

➤ Move past your cellphone images. Did you know that a large banner image on a website needs to be 2500 pixels wide to be clear and without pixelation?
➤ The nerd stuff — I shoot with a Fuji XT-4 mirrorless camera and generally use natural lighting meaning there is no flash. When necessary, I use LED panels for low-light conditions.
➤ More nerdy tech stuff — I use Adobe Photoshop and Bridge and always shoot in RAW. I’ve been using Adobe since 2005, and wow… has it changed a lot since then! I never use filters when retouching images. I’m an OG purist when it comes to my editing.
➤ I offer banding photography to all my web design clients or as a stand-alone service.
➤ I’m located in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and will travel for clients outside of this area.
